Property Description
Beach side four bedrooms, three bathroom home available for weekly rentals. This charming older house is like a step back in time to Old Sanibel. This bungalow was one of the first homes built on Sanibel and was a Sears and Roebuck kit home. This home has older finishes throughout including original bathrooms. Walk into the large living-room with flat screen TV, double glass doors and comfortable couches. The dining room has seating for six and is open to the spacious kitchen. The large kitchen has everything you need to create a great meal. Relax on the back porch under the Australian pines. The first guest bathroom features a shower/tub combo. Relax in the large master suite features a king bed and flat screen TV. The master bath has ample closets and enclosed shower. The upstairs has three small bedrooms, two with queen bed and one with twin beds and a small bathroom with a shower. If you are looking for a weekly house, beach side with historical charm and older finishes this is the home for you!
Listen to the waves break, walk the shell lined beach, play a game of tennis, relax on the top deck and watch world renowned sunsets. A true Sanibel Island beach vacation!
This is a no smoking complex. No smoking allowed on lanais, in the units or on the grounds.
The Sandy Bend complex has eight two bedroom/ two bathroom condos, a four bedroom cottage, a building elevator and tennis courts.
Kingfisher Vacations will only book reservations up to 51 weeks in advance.
All our properties have contact free check-in, no need to stop at the office (or a stop light none of those here)!

This home was great! Had everything we needed and then some. We loved the very large heated pool. The shelling on the beach was amazing!
Working with Kingfisher vacations was a pleasant experience. You can't go wrong with this property.

Oh my, words won’t come close to describing this wonderful home. It was clean, they were quick in responding and very helpful in answering any questions. The home is beautiful and so so cozy. It’s beautifully updated but still has the Sears Roebuck charm. The pool was heated too. This home had everything you would need in the kitchen or for the beach. Very quiet and just wonderful. This was the third time we have stayed in the Sandy Bend Cottage - a family favorite. The home is spacious and comfortable and close to the beach. Kingfisher Vacations are very courteous, responsive and regularly checked in to make sure we were satisfied.

This is our third year in this classic beach cottage. The kitchen is fully stocked (cofffee grinder, waffle maker, blender, hand mixer, panini grill, slow cooker) and highly functional. The owners have a huge supply of beach toys, tennis rackets, umbrellas, footballs. It is not directly on the beach but all one needs to do is walk around an 8 unit condo building and you have arrived. We had stayed in the more typical condo units for years but this works so much better for families.

First of all I want to give Kingfisher Rentals a 5 star rating. I have been vacationing in Sanibel for years with my children. I have rented other condos from their competitors in the past . I can say without hessitation Kingfishers service far exceeded that of any other rental company I have dealt with. We were very happy with the accommodations at Janthina as well as Sandy Bend . Sandy Bend 's kitchen was well stocked with utensils and nice new appliances . It has newly remodeled baths and is a comfortable home like setting great for family's with kids . We will continue to book with Kingfisher exclusively when vacationing on the islands .

This property completely exceeded our expectations. Beautifully renovated and updated, we loved our stay in this gem of a home. We have rented many "vacation homes", but Sandy Bend 9 far surpasses any previous airbnb rentals. It was the most well stocked vacation home (anything you could possibly need for the kitchen, beach stuff, extra pillows, etc). You are literally a few steps away to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island (make sure you have extra space in your luggage for all the beautiful shells you will find). Kingfisher was also incredible to deal with - always helpful, incredibly responsive and very friendly. We can't wait to come back!
